Menstrual Cycle Journal Template
Write through your cycle and start to understand it.
The menstrual cycle affects energy, mood, focus, and sleep in ways that most people only notice in retrospect. Writing through it helps you predict what's coming and work with your body instead of against it.
What you'll be asked
Where am I in my cycle today?
Rough day count is enough. Precision isn't the point.
Energy and mood today
Not what you think you should feel. What you actually feel.
Physical symptoms
Include anything noticeable, whether it's cramps, bloating, or surprising clarity.
What did I need today?
More rest, more movement, more time alone? Note what helped.

Energy and mood today
Day 19. I've been in this low-energy fog for three days now and I kept thinking I was just tired from work. Looking back at last month it was the same stretch, same feeling. Not tired. Luteal phase. Knowing the pattern doesn't make it disappear but it does make it a lot less confusing.
Why it works
Most people don't understand their own cycle until they've tracked it for a few months. Writing through it in your own words gives you a record that numbers alone can't provide.
